Morocco's Blue City
Chefchaouen is a mountain town in the Rif, famous for its old medina painted almost entirely in shades of blue. Founded in 1471, it's one of the most photogenic places in Morocco — narrow blue-washed alleys, handicraft stalls, cats sleeping on doorsteps, and views over the Rif mountains.
It's a common addition to Casablanca tours heading toward Fes and the imperial cities, either as a full day trip or as part of a longer multi-day route.
